The cards I am sharing today were all made by combining washi tape with 3D embossing folders. This combination is a foolproof way to create some amazing designs! I have posted close-ups of these 4 examples below, but this video from my YouTube Channel will walk you through the complete process:

Be sure to visit every blog on today's hop for lots of great ideas for using washi tape on your cards! The hop starts on the Altenew Blog and I am the very last on the list! ?

I love this technique. I sometimes become overwhelmed with stamps and dyes. This narrow down my choices and does not need painting ability. I’ll post my first card once I get it done. Thank you.

  2. LaQuieta Gibson

So so impressed with the combination of Washi Tape and embossing folders! Impressed and inspired! Well done. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Li Cous

Sande, these are gorgeous! What a great way to create a quick card. I am going to have to try this myself and see if I can replicate them! πŸ™‚

  4. Jeanne Rice

Wow, I can’t believe how versatile the washi tape is. Thanks for all the inspiration. The cards are beautiful.

  5. Karen Letchworth

I love your cards! The embossed Washi Tape panels look so beautiful! I’m definitely trying this technique!

  7. Dorothy Ayotte

Lovely cards! I love the floral Washi tapes and how you embossed them with Altenew’s fabulous embossing folders.

  8. Denise Soloko

I don’t usually use washi tape, but after seeing the cards you made, I think I’ll start using it.
I especially loved the glitter flurries washi tape.
I will have to get some soon.
    Thanks Sande πŸ™‚

I am in love with your nautical card, one of my favorite themes. It’s nice to see this time of year because it’s usually a summer thing.

Thanks Sara! I actually did make it a while ago, but I agree with you — it’s refreshing to see when here in Alaska it’s about 0 degrees today! πŸ™‚

  10. Carol McCready

I love the washi tape combined with the 3D embossing folders. Thank you for sharing this technique and video. I will be sure to give it a try. Your cards are lovely. That festive one is my favorite.

  11. Beatrice Lawson

Too funny, you used all my favourites, the stunning monochrome and the glitter flurries and painted fantasy:-) absolutely stunning.

  12. Patty A. Fowler

I’m amazed at how easy, yet gorgeous these cards turned out. I got some great ideas on how to use up my massive collection of Washi. But my Altenew Washi will be for my special cards. They are so beautiful and had no idea how to use them in card making. And then my embossing folders make them extra special. I watched Sande’s workshop on Embossing Folders earlier and am so inspired. A loyal fan from TX, Technicolor Chic, aka: Patty Fowler
